Animals

Welcome to our Animal Project Gallery, where creativity comes to life through handcrafted masterpieces! From playful monkeys to the majestic moose, each piece showcases the unique charm and personality of these beloved animals. Explore our collection and discover the artistry behind each creation, celebrating the beauty of wildlife in a delightful and imaginative way.

Delicate Deer

These intricate deer pieces allowed us to explore different embroidery styles and color combinations. The shaping involved in this project was challenging but so worth it. The deer were made with Premier (R) Cotton Fair (R) yarn which is sport weight and 50% cotton, 50% acrylic. The antlers are molded plastic with a fuzzy felt texture sprayed onto them. The pattern was published by @olya_samoseienko.

Maine Coon Cat

This Maine Coon cat is the only unfinished project published in our gallery. This piece was made for someone who tragically lost their beloved pet. The story inspired us to not only make the cat, but to try something new - felting. As the first felting project, we are tremendously proud of the progress, but it has been a long road. The recipient is so patient with us as we complete the project. The main body of the cat was crocheted with 100% acrylic yarn and the roving is wool.

Monkey

This monkey was a special request for a cuddly toy for a little boy who loves monkeys. It was made with I Love This Cotton (R) yarn which is medium weight and 100% cotton.

Jumping Spider

This delightful jumping spider brings a whimsical charm to any decor. It was carefully crafted with Premier (R) Cotton Fair (R) yarn which is sport weight and 50% acrylic, 50% cotton. The Off the Hook Crochet Jumping Spider pattern is available for purchase in the Shop.

Capybaras In Love

Native to South America, the capybara is the largest living rodent. It spends its time grazing, swimming, and socializing with other animals. These capybaras were made with Premier (R) Minikins (R) yarn which is sport weight and 50% cotton, 50% acrylic. The pattern was published by @RabbizDesign.

Humpback Whale

This humpback whale was one of the more challenging animal projects so far. We took some creative liberty with the color, accenting the belly patch with a berry-splash yarn print by Premier Yarns (R). The whale turned out to be about 2 feet long. The fins and tail were reinforced with craft wire to help maintain shape. This yarn is made from recycled cotton and the pattern was published by @cozypatterntoys.

Unicorn

This unicorn was a special request for a family member whose daughter loves colorful unicorns. The project deviated slightly from a crochet pattern for a horse, but we had fun with the rainbow colors and the addition of a horn. The unicorn was made with Loops & Threads (R) Impeccable (R) yarn which is medium weight and 100% acrylic.

Sleepy Giraffe

This giraffe has been made at least 3 times for special orders - it's so cute and fits in well with zoo or animal nursery themes. The giraffe was made with I Love This Cotton (R) yarn which is medium weight and 100% acrylic. The pattern was published by @Momigurum_i.

Maple the Moose

Maple the Moose was made especially for a New Hampshire native who loves the outdoors. Maple was made with Loops & Threads (R) Impeccable (R) yarn which is medium weight and 100% acrylic. The Off the Hook Crochet pattern for Maple the Moose is available for purchase in the Shop.

Australian Shepherd

This Australian Shepherd was a special order for a dog-lover who wanted to memorialize her favorite pet. The color changes closely resemble that of the real-life dog and presented a unique challenge to the project. The dog was made with chunky weight yarn which is 100% polyester, making this puppy super soft to touch.

Red-Eyed Tree Frog

This vibrant red-eyed tree frog was fun to make and came out great! There are so many different tree frog species that we can fit into this pattern - we're only limited by our imaginations! The tree frog was made with Premier (R) Minikins (R) yarn which is sport weight and 50% cotton and 50% acrylic. The pattern was published by @critterifficcrochet.

Fat Rat

This rat was a special order for a beloved musician whose band art features plump, grey rat. The rat was made with Premier (R) Cotton Fair (R) yarn which is sport weight and 50% cotton, 50% acrylic. The pattern was published by @CrochetByNataliaErkhova.

Penguin Pair

These penguins are buddies - they even have magnets in their wings! They made a super cute gift for a nice couple. The penguins were made with Premier (R) Minikins (R) yarn which is sport weight and 50% cotton, 50% acrylic.

Chunky Cats

These adorable chunky cats are no-sew projects perrrrfect for beginners. We had fun with the different color combinations, but the most popular by far was the black cat with white mittens.
